Quick start

Start a new output configuration in a few clear steps

This guide shows the fastest path from an empty setup to an active output stream. Use it when you need to create the first working configuration and confirm that data is flowing.

How to start a new configuration

Follow the sequence below to create the first working output stream. Each step builds on the one before it.

01

Add an output channel

Create the channel that will carry your output stream. This is the starting point for the configuration and the place where the stream will be grouped.

02

Define the output settings

Set the delivery format and connection details. For example, choose IP if you are sending the stream over the network.

03

Add the network

Right-click in the left pane and add the network that will hold the transport stream objects. This keeps the configuration organised from the start.

04

Add the transport stream

Create the transport stream inside the network so the output channel can be connected to a real stream target.

05

Select playout on the TS level

On the transport stream level, choose Playout. This tells the system that the stream should be prepared for active output generation.

06

Choose the output channel

Pick the output channel from the combo box so the transport stream knows where to send the generated output.

07

Generate and update the engine

Select Generate and update the generator engine. Once that completes, the output stream is active.

Done

Now the output stream is active

At this point the stream should be running with the output channel, network, and transport stream linked together. You can now move on to EPG, PSI/SI, or HbbTV configuration if needed.
